Ferilli Eyewear, an independent Italian artisanal eyewear label specialising in natural materials, has extended its eco-sustainable eyewear collection with the Trame – After Collection, designed in cellulose acetate and embedded with prickly pear cactus fibres. Inspired by the Pugliese landscape and its natural terrain, the three-piece collection explores the brand’s signature material – the fibres of the prickly pear cactus (fico d’India) – a plant that is symbolic of the Mediterranean – as the ultimate decoration for the frames, visible within the translucent natural acetate to add colour and texture and to create a truly expressive look.
The Trame – After Collection is the natural evolution of Ferilli Eyewear’s Trame Classic acetate line, a concept that marked a turning point in Cristiano Ferilli’s exploration of natural materials and identity. With this one-of-a-kind collection, the designer continues his exploration and narrative of the Salento region, through a lens where design, research and material innovation converge in three new eyewear models: RADIKA, SPINAE, and TERREA.
