The OptiFair 2026, hosted by the Academy of Ophthalmic Education, took place on Sunday, March 22 at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Conference Centre, bringing together eyecare professionals from across the region for a full day of continuing education and industry engagement.

The event combined COPE-accredited educational sessions with a trade show floor, offering attendees the opportunity to earn CE credits while connecting directly with industry suppliers and service providers.

OptiFair stands out for its ability to bring together Canada’s three O’s, opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists, creating a cross-disciplinary environment that supports both clinical learning and industry collaboration.

The exhibit floor featured a broad cross-section of the industry, including global leaders such as EssilorLuxottica, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch + Lomb, Alcon and Kering Eyewear, alongside organizations such as the College of Opticians of Ontario and the Opticians Association of Canada.

Additional exhibitors included Marchon Eyewear, Specsavers, Optos, The Optical Group and a range of emerging and specialty providers, reflecting the diversity of today’s Canadian optical landscape.
