ØRGREEN TAKES ITS SHEET TITANIUM TO THE SUN
Seven new sunglasses, cut from flat titanium and built to feel like almost nothing

Lightness is a design language in Ørgreen’s new Sheet Titanium SUN collection, where ultra-thin titanium, sculptural forms and innovative details define the Danish brand’s approach to sunwear for 2027.
The idea is simple to explain and hard to make. Ørgreen starts with a flat sheet of premium Japanese titanium and, instead of bending it into shape, carves it. The edges are chamfered into fine, faceted lines. Depth is milled directly into the surface. The result is a frame with a distinctly three-dimensional and architectural presence, yet one that feels almost weightless on the face. It is only by trying it that the comfort of the design reveals itself: the exceptional lightness is balanced by structure, substance and true precision.

Taking our sheet titanium to the sun meant pushing the material as far as it could go, past every boundary of our craft. It was a way to test ourselves, to prove again that precision and quality aren’t just words for us; they’re the whole point. We took a flat, humble material and gave it a truly premium expression. For me, this collection is a reminder of exactly what Ørgreen does best.” — Gregers Fastrup, Sales Director, Ørgreen Optics
