Essilor has announced the launch of Stellest Pro, which the company describes as a comprehensive myopia management solution designed specifically for eyecare professionals. This new offering builds upon the foundation of the Stellest lens, which features Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target technology, and combines it with enhanced support tools and resources aimed at helping practitioners deliver optimal myopia care.
The Stellest Pro solution includes the Stellest lens itself, along with dedicated professional support that encompasses clinical education, practice development resources, and marketing materials. Essilor says this integrated approach enables eyecare professionals to confidently implement and manage myopia control strategies within their practices.
At the core of Stellest Pro is the Stellest lens, which incorporates HALT technology. This proprietary innovation consists of an aspheric lenslet constellation that creates a volume of signal in front of the retina, while maintaining clear central vision. According to Essilor, clinical studies have demonstrated that Stellest lenses slow myopia progression by an average of 67 percent when worn for at least 12 hours per day, compared to single vision lenses.
The HALT technology works by using 1,021 slightly aspherical lenslets distributed across 11 rings on the lens surface. These lenslets create a volume of signal that acts as a shield in front of the retina, which research suggests helps slow the elongation of the eyeball that characterizes myopia progression. The central zone of the lens remains free of lenslets, ensuring that wearers experience clear, uncompromised vision for daily activities.
Essilor emphasizes that the professional support component of Stellest Pro is designed to address the practical challenges that eyecare professionals face when integrating myopia management into their practices. The clinical education materials provide practitioners with up-to-date information on myopia trends, risk factors, and evidence-based management strategi

es. Practice development resources help eyecare professionals establish efficient workflows and patient communication protocols specific to myopia management.
The marketing support included in Stellest Pro offers customizable materials that practices can use to educate patients and parents about myopia and the importance of early intervention. These resources are designed to facilitate conversations about myopia management options and help practices build awareness of their myopia control services within their communities.
Essilor notes that myopia has become a growing global health concern, with prevalence rates rising significantly in recent decades. The World Health Organization projects that by 2050, approximately half of the world’s population will be myopic. Early onset myopia and rapid progression are associated with increased risks of serious eye conditions later in life, including retinal detachment, glaucoma, and myopic maculopathy.
The company states that Stellest Pro represents its commitment to supporting eyecare professionals in addressing this public health challenge. By combining proven lens technology with comprehensive professional resources, Essilor aims to make myopia management more accessible and practical for eyecare practices of all sizes.
Eyecare professionals interested in learning more about Stellest Pro can contact their Essilor representative or visit the company’s professional website for additional information about the solution and how to integrate it into their practice offerings.
