ØRGREEN is introducing seven new sunglasses styles crafted from sheet titanium, showcasing the Danish brand’s expertise in working with ultra-thin materials to create frames that combine sculptural design with exceptional lightness.
The new Sheet Titanium SUN collection for 2027 represents a significant technical achievement for the Copenhagen-based company. The manufacturing process begins with a flat sheet of premium Japanese titanium which, rather than being bent into shape, is carved. The edges are chamfered into fine, faceted lines, and depth is milled directly into the surface. This approach results in frames with a distinctly three-dimensional and architectural presence that feel almost weightless when worn. The comfort of the design becomes apparent only when trying on the frames, as the exceptional lightness is balanced by structure, substance and true precision.
“Taking our sheet titanium to the sun meant pushing the material as far as it could go, past every boundary of our craft. It was a way to test ourselves, to prove again that precision and quality aren’t just words for us; they’re the whole point. We took a flat, humble material and gave it a truly premium expression. The collection comprises seven new frames, each with distinct characteristics and contemporary shapes.
Avenor represents the purest expression of the craft, featuring extreme chamfering, one of the most refined bridge details Ørgreen has ever produced, and the brand’s thinnest titanium temples to date. This frame is designed for customers who notice detail.
Varyon offers a stronger, more masculine aesthetic, cut from a substantial
2.5mm sheet with a chamfer angled inward toward the lens for real structural depth. It is a natural fit for active, sports-minded wearers.
Norven is titanium designed to resemble acetate, featuring a bold, unisex shape with a faux bridge bump milled out of the flat sheet rather than bent forward. It delivers a big presence while remaining flat and comfortable against the face.
Devrin showcases attitude with sharp geometry, a sculpted topline and integrated sidepieces that provide a subtle cheek-lifting effect. These sunglasses are intended for confident customers who want to be seen.
Auralis brings relaxed, early-Eighties glamour with an oversized, generous shape that offers plenty of lens coverage without the heavy feel typically associated with oversized frames.
Tavric features a broad, comfortable fit designed for wider faces, with familiar lines that make it highly wearable.
Kelven is the design team’s favourite and the most versatile shape in the collection. Its character changes completely with colour choices: it appears sharp and contemporary in bright combinations, and quiet and timeless in darker tones. This single frame design suits very different audiences.
Like every Ørgreen collection, the Sheet Titanium SUN collection is designed in Copenhagen and handmade in Japan across more than one hundred processes, demonstrating true craftsmanship and production finesse. This meticulous manufacturing approach ensures these frames maintain their shape, finish and extraordinarily comfortable fit.
