Copenhagen, Denmark – Lightness is a design language in Ørgreen’s new Sheet Titanium SUN collection, where ultra-thin titanium, sculptural forms and innovative details define the Danish brand’s approach to sunwear for 2027.
The idea is simple to explain and hard to make. Ørgreen starts with a flat sheet of premium Japanese titanium and, instead of bending it into shape, carves it. The edges are chamfered into fine, faceted lines. Depth is milled directly into the surface. The result is a frame with a distinctly three-dimensional and architectural presence, yet one that feels almost weightless on the face. It is only by trying it that the comfort of the design reveals itself: the exceptional lightness is balanced by structure, substance and true precision.

SEVEN NEW FRAMES MAKE UP THE RELEASE, EACH WITH A CLEAR CHARACTER AND A CONTEMPORARY SHAPE:
Avenor is the purest expression of the craft: extreme chamfering, one of the most refined bridge details Ørgreen has ever produced, and its thinnest titanium temples yet. A frame for the customer who notices detail.
Varyon is stronger and more masculine — cut from a substantial 2.5mm sheet, with a chamfer angled inward toward the lens for real structural depth. A natural fit for active sports-minded wearers.
Norven is titanium pretending to be acetate: a bold, unisex shape with a faux bridge bump milled out of the flat sheet rather than bent forward. A big presence, but still flat and comfortable against the face.
Devrin has attitude, sharp geometry, a sculpted topline and integrated sidepieces that give a subtle cheek-lifting effect. The sunglasses for a confident customer who wants to be seen.
Auralis brings relaxed, early-Eighties glamour: an oversized, generous shape with plenty of lens, but without the heavy feel oversized frames usually carry.
Tavric has a broad, comfortable fit for wider faces; its familiar lines make it highly wearable.
Kelven is the design team’s favourite, and the most versatile shape in the mix. Its character changes completely with the colour: sharp and contemporary in bright combinations, quiet and timeless in darker tones. One frame that suits very different audiences.
As with every Ørgreen collection, the Sheet Titanium SUN collection is designed in Copenhagen and handmade in Japan across more than a hundred processes: a story of true craftsmanship and production finesse, and the reason these frames hold their shape, their finish, and their extraordinarily comfortable fit.
