A third consecutive SILMO d’Or nomination for Design Eyewear Group, this time in the Kids category
Paris, September 2026 — Design Eyewear Group has once again been recognised by the SILMO d’Or, with ZIGZAG, designed by Karavan Kids, shortlisted in the Kids category.
The nomination marks an important milestone for Karavan Kids, which joined the Design Eyewear Group family in 2025. Less than a year after joining the Group, the French children’s eyewear brand has already received recognition from one of the optical industry’s most prestigious awards.
A NOMINATION THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE GROUP’S CREATIVE STRENGTH
The nomination also continues a strong run for Design Eyewear Group at the SILMO d’Or.
In 2024, CENSUR by Prodesign was nominated in the Sunglasses – Eyewear Designer category and went on to win the SILMO d’Or. In 2025, FLARE by FACE À FACE was nominated in the same category.
With ZIGZAG, Design Eyewear Group marks a third consecutive nomination, this time representing a third brand within its portfolio. The continued presence of its brands among the SILMO d’Or nominees reflects the diversity of the Group’s creative universes and the strength of the design talent behind its portfolio.
ZIGZAG: A PLAYFUL APPROACH TO CHILDREN’S EYEWEAR
Created to accompany children through their everyday discoveries, ZIGZAG combines a strong graphic identity with features specifically developed with younger wearers in mind.
The frame is defined by exclusive high-definition geometric patterns, shapes designed to support the field of vision of very young children, and a beta titanium hinge engineered to provide excellent flexibility while helping to minimise the risk of breakage.
With ZIGZAG, Karavan Kids brings together design, comfort and technical performance, while preserving the playful spirit at the heart of children’s eyewear.
