Lumenis has announced additional locations and dates for its 2026 Accelerate education series, continuing the nationwide program presented by eye care professionals for eye care professionals through the end of the year. Sessions combine clinical instruction, live technology demonstrations, and practical guidance on improving patient care and supporting long-term practice growth.
The company will host eye care professionals in Nashville on Sept. 25-27, Scottsdale, Ariz., on Nov. 13-15, and Miami on Dec. 4-6. Previous events in the series took place in Orlando, New York City, Newport Beach, Calif., and Chicago.
“In eye care, the most valuable insights have always come from colleagues,” said Stacey Winter, President, North America, Lumenis. “Accelerate is built on that conviction—open, peer-to-peer guidance from physicians already offering advanced treatments and technologies in their own practices. Lumenis is honored to facilitate those discussions and to support physicians in advancing patient care for chronic and progressive diseases like dry eye and glaucoma.”
Accelerate events feature real patient case studies and candid business discussions led by practitioners. Optometrists and ophthalmologists, including Laura Periman, MD, Cory Lappin, OD, and Celesta Ferreira, OD, have shared their perspectives throughout the series.
“The education is outstanding, but the chance to connect and collaborate with like-minded doctors is what makes these meetings so rewarding,” said Dr. Ferreira, founder of Cypress Optique and Eyesthetics Optimized. “I’ve left every Accelerate event I’ve attended with something new to bring back to my patients and ideas that help me keep pushing the profession forward.”
Attendees also take part in hands-on training with OptiLIFT Dynamic Muscle Stimulation Technology (DMSt), OptiLIGHT intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy—the first and only IPL device FDA-approved for the management of dry eye disease due to MGD, OptiPLUS dual-frequency radiofrequency (RF) technology, and other eye care devices. Dedicated time for professional networking, hosted meals, and a cocktail hour round out the schedule.
Lumenis plans to carry the Accelerate series into 2027, with additional locations and dates to be announced. Eye care professionals interested in attending an Accelerate event can register and learn more at https://information.lumenis.com/vision-events.
