Marcolin, a worldwide leading group in eyewear, announces that it joined theĀ United Nations Global Compact, the global pact launched in 2000 with the aim of mobilizing businesses to align their strategies and operations with the Ten Universal Principles on human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption, and to promote actions aimed at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Marcolin joins the other participants, i.e. more than 20,000 companies and 2,500 non-business signatories from 167 countries around the world, including more than 500 in Italy.
By joining the Global Compact, Marcolin is committed to sharing, supporting and applying in its sphere of influence, ten principles considered fundamental and relating to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption. The GroupĀ once again emphasizes the centrality of its all-round ESG path in its corporate processes,Ā based on a strategy that is built on three pillars: the environment, people and the supply chain.
Joining the UN Global Compact is for Marcolin a further step in the Groupās commitment to concrete and tangible sustainability.
