In a key appointment, Kering Eyewear has named Davide Righetto as Head of North America for the Kering Group’s specialist division’s brands, effective today (3 November).
Righetto reports to Kering Eyewear Founder, President and CEO Roberto Vedovotto.
Previously Deputy Head of North America for Kering Eyewear, Righetto has worked in the US for the last two years integrating and managing the Maui Jim business, acquired in October 2022. Prior to that, he was Head of Asia Pacific for Kering Eyewear.
Vedovotto said, “The promotion of Davide Righetto to Head of North America comes as a proof of his strong track record in building businesses and high-performance teams.
“North America remains a key strategic market for our company with a huge potential, which I am confident Davide and our team in the US will be able to further exploit successfully.”
In his new role, Righetto takes on the responsibilities formerly handled by Glenn Rusk. Vedovotto commented, “As part of our planned leadership succession, I am particularly grateful to Glenn for having accepted to stay on with us a year longer than previously intended, as Deputy Head of North America, reporting to Davide.
“He will partner with Davide to provide continuity, ensuring a smooth and orderly transition, while having direct responsibility for the operational side of the business.
“In expressing my sincere gratitude to Glenn, I recognise his exemplary dedication as a true source of inspiration to us all.”
