PREVIEW OF THE NEW EVOLUTION 12 – SPACE SUNGLASSES
The most futuristic and visionary sunglasses from the PIERRE CARDIN Eyewear collection hit the catwalk at the Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show that was held in Paris at the House’s headquarters in 59, Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré.
The EVOLUTION 12 – SPACE sunglasses have an ultra-protective shield design with a single oversize wraparound lens inspired by moon helmets that completely covers the face of the wearer. Nodding to an aesthetic designed to enhance contrast, the frame features an unexpected juxtaposition of a symmetrical, geometric flat upper part and a floating, organic lower part. The frame thus appears to be suspended, fastened to an ultra-lightweight polymer bar with two semi-spherical “boutons” personalized by the low-relief engraved metal PC monogram.
Many design details recall a circle in shape, a recurring graphic element in Pierre Cardin’s collections: in constructive details, such as the integrated hinge, rivets, and temple tips, as well as in the frame’s side profiles. For the show, the sunglasses were presented in tones of ice white with palladium galvanic coating paired with yellow, light blue, lilac, aqua and orange lenses.
The EVOLUTION 12 – SPACE sunglasses will be available in a limited edition worldwide exclusively at Pierre Cardin boutiques and on the brand’s e-commerce channel.
The PIERRE CARDIN collection of sunglasses and optical frames is produced and distributed by Safilo Group.
