All Show Floor Neighborhoods Will be Located on Level Three for a More Unified Show Experience

Alexandria, VA – Aug. 22, 2022 – The Vision Council and RX, co-organizers of Vision Expo, today share plans for an exciting and reimagined Show Floor layout that will debut at Vision Expo East 2023, taking place March 16–19 at the Javits Center in New York City. The new layout will feature all of Vision Expo’s Show Floor neighborhoods on Level Three of the Javits Center.

“We are thrilled to offer the vision care community a more unified Show Floor experience in 2023,” said Fran Pennella, Vice President, Vision Expo at RX. “By bringing The Focus neighborhood, previously located on Level One, to Level Three, we will position all of the Show Floor neighborhoods alongside one another, creating a Show Floor that is more reflective of the full scope of the vision care industry and enabling attendees to more easily navigate and explore the latest technology, trends and vision care innovations.”

“The new Show Floor layout will reinforce a sense of community and collaboration,” said Mitch Barkley, Vice President of Trade Shows and Events at The Vision Council. “Attendees will be able to seamlessly experience every sector of the industry, while also easily stopping by special events and gatherings.”

Show Floor neighborhoods for Vision Expo East 2023 will include:

  • The Focus – Representing the foundation of eyecare and offering the key to masterfully servicing patients and customers, The Focus brings together lens and coating technology, lens processing techniques, disease management solutions, contact lens innovations and eyecare practice optimization.
  • The Springs – Dedicated to emerging talent from around the globe, The Springs is a bold platform for the next generation of optical icons and a discovery zone and incubator for new talent in eyewear design and vision innovation.
  • The Atelier – Driven by design-led ateliers dedicated to artisanal eyewear, The Atelier features a limited group of highly regarded independent designers from around the globe.
  • The Park – Industry icons, ubiquitous brands and prestigious collections unveil their latest styles and offerings in inspired large-scale displays that celebrate the worlds of superior style and exemplary service.
  • The Union – The ultimate shopping experience for those seeking the newest in independent design, this energetic showcase offers new collection launches, pop-culture inspired collaborations and “talk-of-the-show” trends.
  • The Panorama – Offering a bird’s eye view on the frontier of vision technology, The Panorama spotlights the cutting-edge business solutions, medical advances, software and wearables that are paving the way for what’s to come in the vision care industry.

Booth placement will begin with booths over 600 square feet and by neighborhood beginning August 23. Please see timing below:

  • August 23 – Booth placement to begin with only Vision Expo East 2022 Park neighborhood exhibitors (booths over 600 square feet only)
  • Week of August 29 – Booth placement to begin with Vision Expo East 2022 Union neighborhood exhibitors (booths over 600 square feet only)
  • Week of August 29 – 2022 exhibitors with booths under 600 square feet will receive a request for their top 5 booth selections to be submitted by September 9
  • Week of September 5 –Booth placement to begin with Vision Expo East 2022 FOCUS neighborhood exhibitors (booths over 600 square feet only) and Vision Expo East 2022 Springs and Atelier neighborhood exhibitors
  • Week of September 12 – The RX Sales team will begin placing booths for exhibitors under 600 square feet who have submitted their top priorities and will communicate assignments
  • Week of September 19 – The RX Sales team will continue booth placement for all 2022 Vision Expo East exhibiting companies. Bookings for new companies who want to exhibit in Vision East 2023 will begin November 1 based on space availability.

The RX Sales team asks that all customers review the aforementioned timeline.

Vision Expo East 2023 will take place March 16–19 at the Javits Center in New York City. The Show’s educational program, together with OptiCon®@Vision Expo, will open Thursday, March 16 and the Exhibit Hall will open Friday, March 17, 2023.
