Titled Silenzio, this is the first film-project from Snob Milano, an independent eyewear brand long associated with a witty, sophisticated, and deeply Milanese aesthetic. It is more than a simple advert: it is a story suspended on the edge of ambiguity, oscillating between the real and the surreal, the legal and the illicit, misunderstanding and complicity.
Milan, a hotel, an exchange. In an elegant Milanese hotel, a delicate exchange unfolds between reality and irony. At the bar, a young man and a young woman arrive separately. They drink Negronis. They do not speak—or perhaps they do, but without words.
Both wear glasses from the Snob Milano collection: she sports the Tiny model, an optical frame with a magnetic solar clip-on by ZEISS Sunlens; he wears sunglasses from the brand’s brand-new, handcrafted collection. The glasses form an invisible thread connecting the two characters, who are the true protagonists of the film.
Then comes the exchange of bags. Inside, as in a discreet transaction between art dealers, lie the Snob glasses in their luxurious cases. A pre-arranged plan? Everything remains suspended.
The atmosphere evokes a Milanese noir aesthetic, underscored by the subtle background music of Vinicio Capossela. The tension feels real, yet tinged with a delicate humour, a hallmark of the brand.
A strong woman, an iconic gesture. The woman emerges as a confident, determined protagonist. After taking the bag, she leaves the hotel and turns towards the camera, now wearing a new model from the Emir collection, just handed to her by the man, performing the brand’s iconic gesture: finger to lips.
Silenzio.
You didn’t see anything.
A gesture that has defined Snob Milano’s communication for years. Here, it becomes the brand’s cinematic signature, closing the film in a halo of mystery and complicity.
Silenzio is a 100% Italian project. The glasses are produced in the Varese eyewear district by the historic Sordelli company. Concept by Tommaso Bossetti, founder and brand director of Snob Milano. Photography and production: Michele Stabile for Image Production.
The full 90-second version will be screened in selected stores as an engagement tool and to showcase the collection, while three mini-spots will be shared on social media to amplify the narrative and drive traffic to retail.
With Silenzio, Snob Milano inaugurates a new language: more cinematic, bolder, yet always true to its distinctive style. At the heart of the story remain the Snob Milano glasses.
