Simple Eyewear Celebrates 10 Years of Essential French Design With Expanded Global Presence

French eyewear brand Simple Eyewear is marking a major milestone, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a renewed focus on expanding its global footprint and staying true to the design philosophy that has defined it since the beginning.

Founded a decade ago, Simple Eyewear has built its reputation around the concept of essential French design — clean lines, understated elegance, and a commitment to quality that resonates with optical professionals and consumers alike. As the brand reaches this landmark anniversary, it is using the occasion to reflect on its journey while looking ahead to new opportunities in international markets.

The brand’s approach has always centered on simplicity as a strength rather than a limitation. Over the past 10 years, Simple Eyewear has developed a loyal following among those who appreciate eyewear that prioritizes refined craftsmanship and timeless style over fleeting trends. That consistent vision has been a key factor in the brand’s longevity and continued relevance in an increasingly competitive global eyewear market.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, Simple Eyewear is expanding its presence in markets around the world, bringing its distinctly French aesthetic to a broader audience of eyecare professionals and their patients. The expanded global push reflects growing international demand for the brand’s collections and signals confidence in the direction Simple Eyewear is heading as it enters its next decade.

Simple Eyewear Celebrates 10 Years of Essential French Design With Expanded Global Presence

Alva Optical has introduced a new collection of eyewear that draws inspiration from the architectural beauty and creative spirit of Barcelona. The brand’s latest offering showcases frames that blend contemporary design with functional elements, reflecting the innovative character of the Catalan capital.

The Barcelona-inspired collection features frames that incorporate distinctive design elements reminiscent of the city’s famous architecture and artistic heritage. Each piece in the line has been crafted to embody the balance between aesthetic appeal and practical wearability, characteristics that define Barcelona’s approach to design.

According to the company, the collection represents an exploration of how architectural concepts can translate into eyewear design. The frames feature clean lines, geometric patterns, and thoughtful construction that echo the structural elegance found throughout Barcelona’s streetscapes and landmarks.

The new collection includes a variety of frame styles suitable for different face shapes and personal preferences. Materials have been selected to ensure durability while maintaining a lightweight feel for comfortable all-day wear. The color palette draws from Barcelona’s visual landscape, incorporating both bold and subtle tones that reflect the city’s vibrant atmosphere and Mediterranean setting.

Alva Optical has designed this collection to appeal to individuals who appreciate both form and function in their eyewear choices. The frames are intended to serve as accessories that complement personal style while providing reliable vision correction.

The Barcelona collection is now available through Alva Optical’s distribution channels. Eye care professionals and retailers interested in carrying the new line can contact the company for more information about product specifications, pricing, and ordering details.

This launch continues Alva Optical’s commitment to creating eyewear that combines artistic inspiration with practical design solutions. The company maintains that drawing from cultural and architectural sources enriches the creative process and results in distinctive products that stand out in the marketplace.

LINDA FARROW UNVEILS SS27 ROOM SERVICE

Linda Farrow has unveiled its SS27 collection, Room Service, ahead of Silmo 2026. Inspired by the great five-star hotels of London, the collection draws on the sumptuous atmosphere of 1970s hotel life, exploring “a world where luxury is found in every detail – where product, service and experience are considered with equal care.” The palette moves through scarlet interiors, warm taupes, deep browns and burnt orange tones, evoking polished wood, plush lounges and mirrored bars.

Rooted in the brand’s heritage of glamour and craftsmanship, each frame is handcrafted in Japan using fine materials and precise techniques. The collection considers how different generations experience luxury today, celebrating the dynamic between mother and daughter while recognizing that each values something distinct. “Room Service captures both worlds through a cinematic lens – celebrating women who move through life with sophistication, presence and their own distinct sense of style.”

The SS27 collection features a range of signature design details across its frames. Highlights include a reintroduced 1970s heritage logo applied in fine white ink, an industrialized titanium eyelet plate with hand-painted colour contrasts, sculpted Japanese titanium frames with precision bevelling, and a decorative encased core wire suspended beneath crystal acetate with Linda Farrow’s signature honeycomb detailing. Additional standouts include precious metal-plated lenses on the Marcelo and Sadie frames and photochromic lenses by Barberini on the Meret, featuring adaptive molecular technology that responds to changing light conditions.

Linda Farrow will present the SS27 Room Service collection at Silmo 2026 in Hall 7, Stand C037. For more information, visit lindafarrow.com.

ic! berlin unveils first campaign featuring Audi Revolut F1® Team

ic! berlin has launched its first campaign featuring Audi Revolut F1® Team drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, both pictured wearing customized ic! berlin frames. The campaign, rolling out globally this week, marks the brand’s first official activation since announcing their partnership with Audi Revolut F1® Team in February, making ic! berlin the first official eyewear partner of the team.

Titled “From 0.05 mm to 300 km/h: engineering performance and precision at speed,” the campaign draws a direct line between ic! berlin’s ultra-light, screwless frames and the Audi R26 race car, engineered for lighter dimensions, active aerodynamics and high-speed agility. “The partnership unites two brands where form and function are inseparable,” the company noted, adding that qualities like focus, precision and confidence align naturally with ic! berlin’s design philosophy.

Shot by photographer Rupert Tapper with creative direction by visual artist Leif Podhajsky, the imagery uses motion blur to capture the speed and intensity of Formula 1 racing. Beyond the campaign visuals, ic! berlin will offer brand ambassadors and select media trackside experiences at races in Monza, Italy; Marina Bay, Singapore; and Austin, Texas throughout the season.
