New for The Loft, Kirk & Kirk introduce two bold, new shapes into the Kaleidoscope Collection and two in the Contour Collection.
Joel, a strong silhouette plays to the chunky yet light-weight material, and Ruth, a gently curved, sensuous form that brings a new feminine dimension to the collection.
The Kaleidoscope Collection is the embodiment of everything that Kirk & Kirk represents.
Hand-crafted from their own K-Lite™ material, a sheet material specially produced for Kirk & Kirk in Italy, these frames are incredibly light and comfortable to wear, despite their powerful appearance. Creating their own materials means creating a unique colour palette allowing the collection to stand out.
But Kirk & Kirk is not just about colour. K-Lite™ gives each frame a distinctive finish which cannot be achieved in acetate.
“Working in K-Lite is like sculpting for me,” said Creative Director, Karen.
“The challenge for independent optical stores today is to distinguish themselves from their competitors and we aim to play an important role in achieving that.”
New for the Contour Collection, Thomas and Yvonne provide strong, confident direction.
The fronts, hand-crafted in light-weight K-Lite™, are facetted to accentuate the unique qualities of this exceptional material. Yvonne is gently angular and the matted front plays with light and shade around the eye.
Thomas is a large statement look which can be played down with a gentle colour tone or accentuated with some of the more vibrant tones in the Contour Collection.
The Kirk family can trace their optical history back over a hundred years to when Sidney and Percy Kirk were instrumental in making London a world-renowned centre of optical excellence and today every frame is designed by Karen Kirk in her UK studio.
